Here are some spring inspired nails I did this week.  I used:

Missguided Nail Polish - missChievous

Marks and Spencer - White Tip

I just used a kirby grip for a dotting tool for the flowers.  I really like it :) very springy!

Candy Nails

George - Sherbert Fizz
Barry M - White
George - Matt Finisher
Tape

I first painted my nails the sherbert fizz pink and waited to dry before cutting tape into small long triangles and putting them on the nails I wanted the design on.  Covered those nails with white nail varnish and peeled off the tape before it dried.  Finished with a matt topcoat.

Excuse the mess around my nails haha.

Polka Dot Lines

Here are my weekday nails. Just a quick paint with the bottom colour and then quick dots with my kirby grip, and then a topcoat.

Gradient Ombre Pinks

Max Factor - Disco Pink
Barry M - White
Topcoat
George Manicure - Matt Finisher
Cocktail Stick

I was just playing about with this, I didn't think this would actually turn out keepable!  I only have one shade of pink so I painted my thumb the original pink.  Then on a sheet of paper I mixed the white and pink together to make a lighter shade and that went on my index finger, added more white for the third finger and so on.  After that had dried I used the cocktail stick and the white to dot lots at the top and less as I came away from the tip.  I think it looks quite like snow :) I was going for an easter look, but seeing as it is snowing outside as I type this it is quite fitting!  I sealed with a topcoat and waited a few hours to dry completely before doing any washing or physical things with my hands.  The dots took ages to dry.  Next day I put on matt finisher and there you go!

French Manicure with Bows

French Manicure with Bows

Colour Trend - Iced Pink
Barry M - White
Black Acrylic Paint
Tape
Topcoat
Small Paint Brush

I nailed this look by first creating a classic french manicure using baby pink shimmer nail polish, and white.  I used tape which I cut into a curve to create a nice line.  Next I used acrylic paint and a small paint brush to draw a line between the two colours and paint a small simple bow.  I finished with a top coat.

This is the first of another bow french manicure I tried.

Pinks and Spots

Pinks and Black and White Spots

Colour Trend - Iced Pink
Max Factor Nailfinity - Disco Pink
Max Factor Nailfinity - Onyx
Barry M - White
Topcoat
Tape
Kirby Grip

I nailed this by first painting my nails with a light pink nail varnish.  After leaving it to dry I used tape to make a diagonal line across my nail and painted bright pink over the top half.  I pulled the tape off carefully before the paint had a chance to dry to avoid pulling off any of the paint.  After this coat had dried I used the end of my kirby grip to do the dots - By blobbing some white nail varnish on some foil and dipping the end of a kirby grip that had been stretched open and pressing it down on my nail, leaving a space in between each white dot to leave room for the black dots after.  Finish with a topcoat to keep it on for longer :)

I will be doing photo tutorials if people request them once my blog gets up and running.

If you have tried your own version like this please post a link to show us :)
